We returned to our place in Paris in mid February with the intent of staying for about 4 months. However, about two weeks ago it started to become clear that we needed to return to Halifax or we’d be stuck there for perhaps a long time. We had a friend staying with us for two weeks and, once she decided to cut her stay short, we planned to return as well.
The trip from Paris to Halifax via Montreal was uneventful but a little eerie. First, the taxi ride to the airport (Charles de Gaule) was extremely quick (less than 25 minutes) due to the lack of traffic. For example, t he normally congested, often stopped Périphérique was virtually empty and we traversed it no time.
